End of the Age

Mudmouth Living Dungeon, Part 2
Session 3

The travelers continued through the living dungeon.

They passed a second door, bypassing a second magical door. Inside was an armory with skeletons as mannequins and piles of armor. The next room had a demon possessed ogre blacksmith, kept in check by a magic circle and left to work there as it was too difficult to transport.

After they had defeated the demon, the travelers continued down and found the original barrack of the orcs, though it was all but abandoned by that time. The only ones left were a sickly shaman and his pet-project, two infant white dragonlings.

The travelers were able to defeat the shaman and keep one of the dragonlings alive. They then returned the child Mol to South Solace and found the tracks of the orcs.

Session 2

The travelers left the orphans of the Miller in South Solace in the Valley and went out in search of the orcs’ lair and found the Mudmouth Cavern, a living dungeon, freshly erupted into the countryside.

The travelers made their way past the entrance, claiming the watcher skull on sentry duty for their own necromantic use, and headed inside. They navigated a trapped door and an Otuyagh at the entrance, saved a little girl named Mol from being eaten by rats and began to suspect that the cavern had been abandoned.

Session 1

The travelling puppet show, owned and operated by Libby the Halfling, was headed into South Solace in the Valley when they ran across an ambush site. Two children led the travelers to their dying father in the woods. They had been attacked by a new, strange and savage breed of orc, previously unknown in this part of the world.

They continued on to South Solace and find it to have been recently sacked by these same orcs. The orcs had attacked the town, taken the towns’ beloved artifact, the Plough Stone , and moved on. The people had been gathered together in the town’s market place and were being executed by the remaining orc forces, told that one would die every hour until the town produced for the orcs the wizard responsible to maintain the Plough Stone.

The travelers disrupted the butchery, killing most of the orcs and capturing Mudfist, the leader. With information gained from him, they planned to attack the Living Dungeon the orcs made their base and rescue the villagers that had been kidnapped.
